"The Next Generation Security Leader Program and The Great Conversation provide current and emerging leaders a forum for understanding how to fully identify and realize the potential value created within their organizations.
It is imperative leaders in risk and security embrace their roles in creating the vision and mission of their organizations and articulate their organizational value in language the CEO and the executive team can understand.
In the end, we have a responsibility as the CSO to create a resilient and adaptable organization while mitigating risks. But that opportunity can only be realized through leveraging the knowledge base, lessons learned, and the tools that others have found to be effective."

"I highly endorse the Security Executive Council’s (SEC) Next Generation Leadership Course. There are various organizations in the security ecosystem that provide our next generation of security leaders, excellent training content and the SEC NGSL certainly is in the same league.
I had a fair amount of my extended direct reports take the inaugural course this year and reviews by all were excellent. It was a great blend of faculty instruction, as well as instruction by CSO practitioners. The virtual nature of the course allowed for more students and flexibility in scheduling the sessions. I think the link up with the Darla Moore School at the University of South Carolina was outstanding and their support superb.
This course was not just theoretical, it was practical in nature and again, feedback from my extended direct reports was universally positive. This course certainly is a value add to the ecosystem of security training courses currently in the world today. Great first effort by the SEC!"
